Today I stumbled across a loppis (yard sale) very close to where I live. It's in a barn. Open all day until 19.00 and when you go in there's literally no one there... and I really mean no on.

Once inside, what was probably a cow shed, you have two large dark rooms to look around with lots of tables, shelves and display cabinets. There's a kettle for coffee and even ice creams in a freezer. So you can help yourself and spend as much private time as you want looking in every corner.

Everything is priced up so when you have finished looking and wish to make a purchase you can either swish the money to a mobile number or leave cash. There's even honey and eggs.

Once my eyes had adjusted to the dim lighting something caught my eye in a tall display cabinet. Unlocked of course. It was a beautiful Murano vase/bowl and then beside it a stunning cobalt blue White Friars bowl.

The Murano even has its original label. The Whitefriars I recognised from when I lived in England. The prices suited my purse so I came away very happy. Yes there was Kosta Boda and Orrefors glassware but I came away satified.

Next week I'll make another visit as it's just 15 minutes down the road and into the woods. Perhaps I'll even have an ice cream if the weather is good.

Both beautiful pieces will be coming into Allthingsretrostore soon.
